Product-related environmental protection
At JUMPtec, we create innovative products and solutions designed for low energy consumption and resource-efficient manufacturing. Sustainability is central to everything we do. We minimize waste, prioritize efficient recycling, and carefully conserve natural resources.
We prioritize environmentally conscious product design and avoid hazardous materials in our components. By requiring detailed material composition data from suppliers, we ensure transparency for our customers while meeting specific legal and environmental requirements.

WEEE Directive: Reducing Electronic Waste at JUMPtec
At JUMPtec, we embrace the principles of the WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) to minimize electronic waste and ensure environmentally responsible design and disposal. Our products meet these standards by:
Considering disassembly, recovery, and recycling in product design.
Marking devices with the required crossed-out wheelie bin symbol.
Providing customers with detailed information, including product weight and disassembly instructions.
Most JUMPtec products are components integrated into customer systems rather than standalone devices. Responsibility for WEEE compliance rests with our customers as the final manufacturers. To support them, we supply all necessary data and offer agreements for returning applicable components.
For standalone systems, such as rackmount servers, we meet all WEEE registration and reporting requirements in applicable EU countries.
RoHS Compliance: Restriction of Hazardous Substances at JUMPtec
JUMPtec adheres to the RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) by ensuring our products are free from restricted substances like lead, mercury, cadmium, and more, with limited exceptions. We provide fully RoHS-compliant products, regularly review exceptions, and comply with all updated regulations.
We support our customers by sharing up-to-date information on hazardous materials and disposal. Leveraging our expertise in electronic and mechanical components, we implement innovative solutions that help minimize the use of hazardous substances across our offerings.
As part of Kontron Group, Jumptec ensures that all active RoHS 3 exemptions in our products comply with regulations and are reviewed by the European Commission. We are committed to maintaining compliance before exemption expiration dates and focus on products in RoHS 2 categories 1–7, 10, and 11. Exclusions under Article 2(4) of RoHS 3 are unaffected.
For applications requiring RoHS 3 exemptions beyond expiration, our sales team is available for contractual discussions.
Environmental Management
We prioritize removing hazardous materials from our components, leveraging a broad supply base to identify trends and implement compliant solutions.
RoHS 3 Marking
CE marking for applicable products follows Regulation 765/2008/EC, ensuring clear and compliant labeling.
REACH Compliance at Jumptec
Jumptec adheres to the EU REACH Directive, ensuring the safe use of chemicals in our products. While our products are manufactured items and not chemicals, we still monitor the REACH requirements and manage risks to human and environmental health.
We regularly check the European Chemicals Agency's list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) and ensure our authorized manufacturers disclose any SVHCs upon request. We promptly inform customers about any relevant updates to the REACH Candidates List.
Conflict Minerals at Jumptec
Jumptec, as part of the Kontron Group, is committed to preventing the use of conflict minerals—such as tantalum, tin, gold, and tungsten—linked to armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and surrounding countries. We adhere to the US Dodd-Frank Act and work with suppliers to ensure our supply chain is free from conflict minerals.
We assist customers with reporting obligations under the SEC and monitor our suppliers to track the origin of metals. In response to the EU’s new Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT), we are taking proactive measures to ensure compliance and prevent human rights violations.
